England's opening batsman Marcus Trescothick sits in the pavilian after retiring for exactly 100 against against Sri Lankan Academy XI in the suburb of Moratuwa February 5, 2001. Opener Trescothick struck one six and 15 fours as he made his runs from 157 deliveries before retiring to allow his team mates the chance of match practice in the two-day game. England were bowled out for 252 and the Sri Lankan Academy XI were 22 without loss at the close of the first day.
