SPECTATORS DEPART AFTER FIRST ROUND OF MASTERS POSTPONED.
A statue of Augusta National golf club founder Bobby Jones is shown as
spectators carrying umbrellas leave the course after the first round of
the Masters golf tournament was postponed at the Augusta National Golf
Club in Augusta, April 10, 2003. The saturated course, and more rain in
the forecast, forced officials to delay the first round until April 11.
It was the first time since 1939 the opening round has been postponed.
