Germany's Nils Schumann raises his hands after winning the 800m final at the Sydney Olympic Games, September 27, 2000. Schumann won with a time of 1.45.08, Demark's Wilson Kipketer was second with a time of 1.45.14 and Algeria's Aissa Djabir Said-Guerni came in third with 1.45.16.
