Australian Customs spokesman Leon Bedington explains details to reporters at the Sydney Olympic Media Centre September 7, 2000 regarding the seizure of illegal peformance-enhancing drugs from an Uzbekistan Olympic team official. Australian customs identified the substance seized was the muscle-building human growth hormone (HGH). The seizure comes eight days before the start of the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games.
