FIFA PRESIDENT BLATTER WAVES TO REPORTERS AS HE SMILES WITH JAPAN FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION PRESIDENT OKANO IN TOKYO.

FIFA President Sepp Blatter (L) waves to reporters as he smiles with Japan Football Association President Shunichiro Okano at a news conference at the Japan Organising Committee for the 2002 FIFA World Cup Korea/Japan (JAWOC) office in Tokyo November 15, 2000. Blatter, who flew in to Tokyo on Tuesday, said he was confident that the Japanese government and local soccer organisers will find a solution to tax issues over the 2002 World Cup tournament which Japan will jointly host with South Korea. FIFA has asked Tokyo and Seoul that ticket sales and other revenues related to the tournament, along with wages on FIFA, be tax-exempt.
