FIFA PRESIDENT BLATTER WAVES TO REPORTERS AS HE SMILES WITH JAPAN FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION PRESIDENT OKANO IN TOKYO.

Blatter, who flew in to Tokyo on Tuesday, said he was confident that the Japanese government and local soccer organisers will find a solution to tax issues over the 2002 World Cup tournament which Japan will jointly host with South Korea. FIFA has asked Tokyo and Seoul that ticket sales and other revenues related to the tournament, along with wages on FIFA, be tax-exempt.
