Real Zaragoza's defender Jimenez carried on a stretcher during Spanish league match in Madrid.
Real Zaragoza's defender Cesar Jimenez (C) is taken off the pitch on a stretcher after colliding with Real Madrid's Portuguese midfielder Luis Figo (not pictured) during their Spanish League match at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium January 16, 2005. Figo apologised January 18, 2005 for the incident that will leave Jimenez on the sidelines for between six and eight months. Jimenez is to undergo surgery on Thursday after tearing his cruciate ligament and suffering muscle and cartilage damage when Figo slid into him with his studs up. "I'm really sad about it," Figo told the Real Madrid website on Tuesday. "At no time did I want to hurt him. We were both both going for the ball as hard as we could. I went in with my eyes closed and he got there first. Picture taken January 16. REUTERS/Andrea Comas
