Japanese fans wave at France's national soccer team players upon their
arrival at Kagoshima airport, southern Japan, on May 25, 2002. The team
later flew from Kagoshima to South Korea. France is grouped with
Senegal, Uruguay and Denmark in the first round of the World Cup Finals
and will face Senegal in Seoul in the May 31 opening match.
