A Sri Lankan toddy tapper crosses wires linking coconut trees in Payagala, Sri Lanka.
A Sri Lankan toddy tapper, Ajith, crosses wires linking coconut trees in the tsunami-hit southern Sri Lankan village of Payagala March 17 2005. Toddy is a drink made with alcoholic liquor, hot water, sugar, and sometimes spices. Less coconut trees can now be tapped for toddy production after the December 26 tsunami, which uprooted hundreds of coconuts trees. Picture taken March 17, 2005. .
