Worshippers carry a holy red cloth towards men standing atop a pagoda, a domed temple, during a ceremony at the Kelaniya Buddhist Temple located in Colombo May 8, 2009. During the ceremony, the cloth is wrapped around the pagoda. Sri Lanka's majority Buddhist followers make offerings and pray at thousands of temples across the country during the three-day religious festival known as Vesak which marks the birth, enlightenment and death of Buddha.
