A patient rests in the men's dormitory at the physical rehabilitation reference centre in Juba, South Sudan, July 7, 2011. The centre, run by the Government of South Sudan in cooperation with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) started its service provision for physically disabled in January 2009 dealing with over 2,500 victims of the north-south civil war, mine injuries, snake bites, and accidents. South Sudan splits away from the north on July 9 to create Africa's newest nation after southerners voted for secession under terms of a peace deal reached in Nairobi in 2005 to end the civil war.
