Olaf Niess, son of Hamburg's so called swanfather Harald Niess transports swans in two boats after he and some council workers caught the swans in Hamburg's inner city lake Alster November 10. Every year the swans from waterways around Hamburg are collected and taken to a winter residents were they are fed and cared for until spring.
