Claude Nobs, Montreux Jazz Festival founder poses in the Festival's sound and film archives in Caux near Montreux December 8, 2010. More than 5,000 hours of video footage and the same amount of sound of the Montreux Jazz Festival and artists such as Ella Fitzgerald, Miles Davis, Phil Collins and David Bowie will be saved and immortalised by the launch of the Montreux Sounds Digital Project. The current archive, which consists of 10,000 magnetic storage medias weighing 60 tons, is stored on 600 metres of shelving. The first edition of the festival was held in 1967 and the 45th edition is due to take place from July 1 to 16, 2011. REUTERS/Denis Balibouse (SWITZERLAND - Tags: ENTERTAINMENT PROFILE)
