A general view of chalet on a mountain pasture in front of Moleson mountain in Gruyeres
A combination general view of a chalet on a mountain pasture in front of Moleson mountain in Gruyeres, western Switzerland May 28, 2013, taken early morning during sunshine (L) and in the afternoon during a heavy rain storm (R). Swiss cheese maker and farmer Jacques Murith decided to withdraw his 31 cows from their mountain pasture, just two weeks into the summer season, following unseasonably low temperatures and heavy rain which have so far prevented Murith from being able to produce his distinctive mountain pasture Gruyere and Vacherin cheese. According to Murith this is the first time since 1960 that local farmers have had to delay or suspend taking their herds to the higher meadows. The summer grazing season usually runs from mid-May to mid-October. REUTERS/Denis Balibouse (SWITZERLAND - Tags: AGRICULTURE ANIMALS)
