A Yami native cleans his fishing net beside his traditional boat known locally as a "tatala" at Lanyu, or Orchid Island, about 65 km (40 miles) from Taiwan's southeastern coastal city of Taitung, May 9, 2007. Yami, who prefer to be called "Tao", is an aboriginal tribe of Polynesian descent.
