A DEALER SHOUTS OUT PRICES IN A TAIPEI.
A Taiwan currency dealer shouts out during active trading at the Taipei foreign exchange dealing room February 22. The Taiwan dollar has sagged against the U.S. dollar since Year of the Rabbit trading started on Friday, reflecting the Japanese yen's big decline against the greenback during Taiwan's six-day lunar new year holiday, and touched an intraday low of T$33.450 on Monday. Dealers said late-day U.S. dollar selling by Taiwan's central bank halted the slide, reeling the local currency back to close at T$33.102 - above Saturday's 33.257 finish.
