Some members of Legato's crew work on their catamaran, moored in Barcelona's Port Vell, trying to fix the security problems that caused the team's provisional withdrawal. British Team Legato have seven days to solve problems with the boat and try to catch up their competitors in The Race December 31, 2000. The Race consists of a full loop around the earth from west to east via the three great capes, Good Hope, Leeuwin and Horn. The yachts taking part in The Race are capable of speeds nearing 40 knots (46 mph) and should complete a circumnavigation in 65 days.
