Young East Timorese refugees wave to a crowd of wellwishers lining the streets of Dili October 8 after they returned from forced exile from Kupang in West Timor to Dili. Some 90 East Timorese refugees were returned by plane to the territory after having been taken by Indonesian authorities to West Timor during pro-Indonesia militia violence.
