Confessed pro-Jakarta militia man, Duarte da Cruz sits with his face swollen in Liquica Ocober 19, after being beaten by pro-independence Falintil members during his capture. Liquica, a former stronghold of the militia who have waged a terror campaign across the country following a vote for independence from Indonesia, is the site of some graves which are alleged to contain the victims of the militia attacks.
