company Motorola at the Wireless and Network Expo in Beijing November
16, 2003. China is trying to buy more U.S. goods to deflect criticism
of its swelling trade surplus and fixed currency. China's monthly trade
surplus in October ballooned to its biggest in at least six years to a
whopping $5.74 billion - up from $4.75 billion a year earlier and just
$290 million in September - and could draw renewed ire in the U.S.
