COASTAL TOWN OF MUXIA.
Soldiers clear fuel oil spilled from the "Prestige" oil tanker near the
coastal town of Muxia on Spain's devastated North West Atlantic coast
on January 27, 2003. The aging, single-hulled tanker foundered off the
coast of Galicia in November 2002 with 77,000 tonnes of heavy fuel oil
on board, causing Spain's worst ever ecological disaster, contaminating
hundreds of miles of coast and putting thousands of fishermen out of
work. REUTERS/Miguel Vidal REUTERS
