A MAN WALKS ALONG A BEACH COVERED WITH FUEL OIL IN NORTHERN SPAIN.
A man walks along an oil-covered beach near Muxia in northern Spain
after fuel oil from the stricken Bahamas registered tanker Prestige
arrived on shore November 17, 2002. The Prestige, loaded with 77,000
tonnes of fuel oil, ran into trouble November 13 and spilled tonnes of
oil into the sea. Rescue services are currently battling to tow the
tanker, which is in risk of splitting in two, further out to sea.
