UPS DRIVER WAVES IN FILE PHOTO.
United Parcel Service, the world's No. 1 package carrier, on July 22,
2003 posted a rise in quarterly earnings as strong international
results offset weakness in U.S. operations. Atlanta-based UPS, which
also reported a pickup in domestic package volumes, said second-quarter
profit was $692 million, or 61 cents a share compared with profit of
