Swiss army soldiers stand guard in front of the provincial court house of the Canton of Vaud in Lausanne where the trial opened April 12 before a Swiss military court of former Rwandan official Fulgemnce Nlyonteze on charges of war crimes during the genocide of 1994. Security has been stepped up for the trial which is expected to last at least three weeks.
