DRUGS-TURKEY-BRITAIN:ISTANBUL,21MAR00-British woman Alison Mary McKinnon covers her face with her arm to avoid from media as she is escorted by Turkish narcotics police officers to a state security court in Istanbul March 21. 37-year-old McKinnon was arraigned on Tuesday on charges of drug smuggling after being found with 3kg (6.6lb) of heroin strapped to her body at Istanbul's Ataturk airport on March 18. Turkish newspapers report that intimate body piercings which set off metal detectors led the police to a body search McKinnon at the airport. Police detained her at the international airport on Saturday after finding the drugs strapped to her body in packages. Her final destination was Britain.
