Ugandan Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) leader Kizza Besigye speaks to the media outside the High Court in the capital Kampala March 7, 2006, following his acquittal for rape. A Ugandan judge dismissed rape charges against the east African country's top opposition leader on Tuesday, saying prosecutors had ''dismally'' failed to prove he attacked a family friend nine years ago. Besigye, 49, who is also charged with treason and terrorism, said his trials were designed to sideline him ahead of February 23 polls that he lost to President Yoweri Museveni. REUTERS/Euan Denholm
