United States Secretary of State Colin Powell speaks to members of the
media following a United Nations Security Council meeting at U.N.
headquarters in New York, March 7, 2003. The Council was assembled to
hear Dr. Hans Blix, Executive Chairman of the United Nations
Monitoring, Verification and Inspection Commission (UNMOVIC) deliver a
report on weapons inspection in Iraq. Foreign Ministers from member
states on the Security Council were in attendance to hear the report as
the Security Council remained deeply divided on a possible war in Iraq.
