AN EMPLOYEE OF BLACK RIVER STURGEON SHOWS A FEMALE STURGEON.
Edgardo Mezquita, an employee of the Black River Sturgeon fish
hatchery, the first sturgeon hatchery in Latin America, shows a female
sturgeon at Baygorria on the Black river, 260 kilometers north of
Montevideo, August 15, 2001. The hatchery produced nearly one ton of
caviar last year and expects to double that this year. Picture taken
