The USS Constellation leaves its home port of San Diego November 2,
2002 for a six month deployment in the Arabian Sea. More than 8,000
sailors on the Constellation, five other San Diego-based ships, a Pearl
Harbor-based fast attack submarine and a Bremerton, Wash.-based fast
combat support ship began their deployment today as the United States
