Visitors to the premiere of the "Nirvana: Taking Punk to the Masses" exhibit at the EMP in Seattle view a slideshow of photos of the band Nirvana taken by grunge-rock era photographer Charles Peterson on April 15, 2011. The EMP exhibit, which opens to the public on April 16, is the most extensive assembly of memorabilia from Seattle's 'grunge rock years' and focuses on bands like Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam and especially the band Nirvana and the life and 1994 suicide death of Cobain, that band's iconic leader.
