White doves look out from their box as they are prepared to be released by family and friends of fallen...
White doves look out from their box before being set free by family and friends of fallen U.S. Army soldier Justin Ray Davis at his grave site in Arlington National Cemetery June 25, 2011. Paula Davis, Justin's mother, commemorated the fifth anniversary of his death in Afghanistan with a ceremony where she released doves, had a religious memorial service and laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Justin's honour. Justin had vowed to his mom he'd never forget his childhood memories of September 11 and enlisted in the U.S. Army one week after graduating from high school. Picture taken June 25, 2011.
