Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff U.S. Air Force Gen. Richard
B. Myers is reportedly being selected by US President George W. Bush to
be the new replacement for Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff U.S.
Army Gen. Henry H. Shelton when he leaves the post. Myers will join
Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld to brief President Bush on a
long-term defense strategy review on his Texas ranch in Crawford,
August 24, 2001.
