A field of 1,500 runners cross the hump of the Seven Mile Bridge in the Florida Keys, April 20, 2002, during the annual Seven Mile Bridge Run. [The unique competition provided the opportunity to compete in a footrace over the convergence of the Atlantic Ocean and Gulf of Mexico.] The bridge closed to traffic for two hours Saturday morning to stage the event. The Seven Mile Bridge is one of 43 spans that help to comprise the Overseas Highway in the Keys.
