Ron Gagliardo curator for the Atlanta Botanical Garden removes pollen from the Titan Arum, the world's largest flower at six-foot-2 inches tall, in hopes of pollinating another flower which Gagliardo nurtured from a seedling July 7. The Titan Arum which has a putrid odor and grows at a rate of five-six inches a day, has bloomed only six other times in history in cultivation in the United States and only blooms for 48-72 hours.
