Luong Nguyen (C), a spirit medium, drinks as he performs a "Hau Dong" ritual at Den Ngoc temple, outside Hanoi February 7, 2012. The "Hau Dong" is a ritual where a spirit medium puts on elaborate costumes and tells stories of gods and heroes while accompanied by "chau van" music, as part of the worship of Dao Mau, the Vietnamese Mother Goddess religion. It is believed that the spirit medium will have direct contact with the spirits during the ritual. Vietnam's Institute for Culture and Art is attempting to nominate "Hau Dong" as a UNESCO world intangible heritage, according to local media. REUTERS/Kham (VIETNAM - Tags: RELIGION SOCIETY)
