MISKITO CHILDREN AWAIT ARRIVAL OF AID FLIGHTS.
Miskito children, inhabitants of the village of Raiti Bocay on the banks of the Coco River, some 300 kms north of Managua, stare at helicopters from the World Food Organization that landed with aid November 19 for the villages ravaged by the passage of Hurricane Mitch. Entire Miskito communities were left homeless by the torrential rains of Hurricane Mitch, which left in its path some 4,000 dead in Nicaragua alone.
