LEBANESE TRUDGE THROUGH DRIFTS AFTER FLASH SNOWSTORMS.
Lebanese force their way through dozens of centimetres of snow in
Beirut's subburbs after blizzards pelted the country January 7, 2002.
Much of the country was paralysed by the winter blast, with the main
international highway buried under a metre of flakes and schools across
eastern Lebanon's Bekaa Valley closed as storms made roads impassable.
