BOSTON PEDESTRIAN FACES SLEET AND WIND AS BLIZZARD BEGINS.
A pedestrian bundled against the cold faces sleet and high winds March 5, 2001 as she walks through the Boston Public Gardens during the start of a major winter storm. Snow and freezing rain was falling throughout the mid-Atlantic states and New England as of Monday afternoon, but the storm's biggest impact was not expected until later on Monday and throughout Tuesday, said the National Weather Service.
