The only know wholphin gives birth in Hawaii.
Kekaimalu, (or Peaceful Sea), the only know living hybrid of a false killer whale rests after showing off her baby, a female wholphin, April 21, 2005 at Sealife Park in Honolulu, Hawaii. The baby is one-fourth false killer whale and three-forths Atlantic bottlenose dolphin. It was previously thought that a hybrid animal such as Kekaimalu would have difficulty conceiving and birthing but after the first 100 days of life, the baby wholphin and mother seem healthy and happy. The large baby is about the size of a one-year-old bottlenose dolphin and has anatomical and behavioral development from the two different species. Kekaimalu is 700 lbs. and 11 feet long.
