The Monohull "Safran" is docked after its skipper Marc Guillemot of France was forced to retire from the Vendee Globe sailing race at Les Sables d'Olonne on France's Atlantic coast November 11, 2012. Guillemot decided to head back to Les Sables d'Olonne in order to inspect the damage after the boat's keel had broken off under the waterline after it hit something on November 10. However, as the team did not have a spare keel, the Safran was unable to set off again in the race.
