YUGOSLAV SOLDIER LAYS WITH HIS SNIPER RIFLE WHILE PATROLLING THE ALBANIAN BORDER NEAR DJAKOVICA.
A Yugoslav soldier lays in the grass with his sniper rifle as he guards the border between Yugoslavia and Albania near Djakovica, 80 km south-west of Pristina May 13. In Pristina, General Vladimir Lazarevic of the army's Pristina Corps told reporters that his forces were carrying out a partial withdrawal from Kosovo announced by the Supreme Command on Monday. But NATO said it had seen no sign of an immediate pullout and that a partial withdrawal would not be enough to meet its conditions for an end to the bombing campaign.
