A Portuguese KFOR soldier passes a bomb crater January 9, 2001 as he carryies scientific equipment to measure radioactivity levels in lake Radonjic, some 70km south-west from Pristina. The European Commission Spokesman Gunnar Wiegand said the Commission had on Tuesday decided to set up a "working party" of EU scientists to give an opinion on the potential health and environment effects from the use of depleted uranium ammunition during the Balkan conflicts.
