A SERB OLD WOMAN TAKES HER NEPHEW GIRL AWAY FROM KFOR ROAD BLOCK IN KOSOVSKA MITROVICA.
A Serb old woman takes her nephew girl away from KFOR roadblock dividing Serb and ethnic Albanian neighborhood April 21, 2001 in Kosovska Mitrovica. NATO troops had moved in and set up roadblocks to keep the Serbs from entering a neighborhood of mostly ethnic Albanians in the northern, Serb-held part of the city. The U.N. refugee agency called for greater efforts to ensure the "survival" of Serbs and other minorities in Kosovo, a U.N.-governed Yugoslav province with a separatist Albanian majority.
