CIVILIANS CHEER AS US MARINE CONVOY PASSES THROUGH SKOPJE.
Civilians cheer as they line the streets of the capital as a large convoy of United States Marines pass through town on its way to the Kosovo border June 13. The 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit, 3rd Battalion 8th Marines rolled to the Kosovo border after spending several days in their forward staging area. It is the first time in Marine history that a Marine Expeditionary Unit has totally unloaded from their ships to take part in a mission.
