Daimlerchrysler President Deiter Zetsche applaudes the introduction of the new 2002 Jeep Liberty sport utility January 7, 2001, on the first day of press week at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit. The Liberty is a completely new Jeep, which goes on sale in late spring and is designed to eventually replace the current Jeep Cherokee.
