FOR RELEASE WITH STORY VIETNAM-USA-MISSING - YOUNG SOLDIERS PAY RESPECT TO DEAD COMRADES.
Two young Vietnamese soldiers pay respects August 2, 2000 to comrades from a generation earlier killed in bitter battles during the 1968 Tet Offensive. They were helping to excavate a site at Cam Lo, central Vietnam, which a former U.S. marine said could hide the remains of as many as 600 communist soldiers. Remains recovered from the site were wrapped in the blue bags in the foreground of the picture and will eventually be moved to a nearby war cemetary.
